Dear Parents,

The Butterflies have hatched!!  Last weekend the last of the caterpillars made its cocoon and on Friday the first butterfly hatched.  Our Luna Moth also came out of its cocoon.  This week we will be taking a closer look at them and then releasing them.

In case you missed last weeks note.  I am one of the chaperones for the D.C. trip.  Mrs. Harweger will be teaching the class from the 19th through the24th.  I will be back on the 25th and attending the field trip to the zoo.

ZOO TRIP

The children will need to pack a lunch.  They will carry it to the car that they are riding in and bring it with them.  We will stop and eat at a park before we go into the zoo so that we do not have to carry anything into the zoo.  After we tour for about 2 ½ hours we will return to the cars.  The children may want to save a drink and a snack for the ride home.

We will have a chance to stop at the gift store.  We suggest that the children bring $6 - $12.  They will need to have a pocket to carry their money.  They may also bring a camera, but they would be responsible for carrying the camera.

The children may need sunscreen.  Please send it along or put it on your child before they leave home.

You are already in groups.  The adults in the group are responsible for the children in the group.

If you are not driving, please send your child’s car seat to school on Tuesday morning so that they can ride safely to the zoo.

I am looking forward to a fabulous zoo trip.

God’s blessings, Mrs. Bloch
