FIRST GRADE NEWS 3-5-2010
RELIGION—We learned about Zacchaeus.
MEMORY—Wed.: Call to Me and I will answer.
Fri.: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
SPELLING—your, can’t, family, brown, down, town, thank, bank, tank, sank,
READING—We worked on adding ing and ed to words. Don’t forget to practice the stories at home. We take a comprehension test on each story from the green reader and write a summary about each story from the red reader.
MATH—We continue to work on telling time. It is coming slowly for some of the children. Counting money is next!
GYM—We have been jumping rope. We will complete our jumping next week.
REMINDERS
Don’t forget to send back the Trinity permission slip and the $4.00 for the Bubble Field Trip.

LUNCH—On Tuesday the cafeteria will be serving tacos (hard shell) from Taco Bell. There is no extra cost for the taco with the lunch but if your child wants a second taco the cost will be deducted from his/her lunch account. If your child is ordering a second taco he/she needs to let me know (note or verbal) on Monday or Tuesday morning. There will also be corn dog and pbj that day.
Students who are at Immanuel Church on Sunday morning (9:00) will be called to the front to sing during the service. They are to sit with parents and just come up when called.
I hope you enjoyed visiting our school during the Academic Fair. The first graders were proud of "England!"
