3rd Grade - Mrs. Lambert
THIRD GRADE NOTES
MARCH 8 – 12, 2010
Dear Parents,
This week is a statement of how we feel about
our schools. ILS is a great place for your child to grow both mentally and
spiritually. Please join in the excitement of having a Lutheran school for
your child to attend.
This week is the end of the 3rd
quarter grading period. The time has gone by rapidly and we still have lots
more to learn and do. Report cards will be sent
home on Wednesday, March 24th.
I hope that you and your family will be able to
relax and enjoy time together next week during Spring Break. I pray that
church services will be a part of your time together. In the folder on
Friday will be a sheet to keep track of the services during vacation. I am
concerned that many students’ church attendance is quite low. Let’s try to
improve on this in the last grading period and let’s pray that all of our
families will see the importance of attending church.
Our week looks like this:
Wed. – 49B
Thurs. – 50A
Fri. – 50B
SPELLING: Tests will be on Wednesday and Friday.
New words this week are: by,
buy, something, sometimes, March.
These will be written in cursive.
SCIENCE: Test over Chapter 6 on Friday. Study
guide is attached.
THANK YOU for your
generous giving to the Penny Wars. The students had a blast warring against
the other classes. Watch the Warrior for the results.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: It’s the songs you sing and the smiles you wear that make the sunshine everywhere.
